PASS

PASS. This might be by far the best piece of technology that I have seen since in the photography industry. I know that is a big claim to make. I also know that I have not been in the industry that long. However I am going to stick to this claim. I first learned of PASS through Jasmine Star and started to use it randomly last year for several events. What is PASS? PASS is sharing. PASS is an online gallery that allows you to share all your images to any device, anywhere at any time. Your images are always accessible to you and to share with family and friends.

There are a few reasons as a photographer why I love PASS. First it is simple. I’m not techy in any means. You open PASS on your computer. Then drag and drop the folder of your beautiful images and the mother-ship uploads your high resolution images. There is no more burning dvds and waiting and checking to make sure they uploaded all the images. PASS saves me time in my workflow. It allows less time behind the computer and that is such a benefit! As part of my service I deliver edited high resolution images to my clients. PASS allows me to instantly deliver and share the images to my clients with a link to their gallery. The gallery is beautifully designed as well as images can be categorized into collections within one event. Another reason why I love PASS is that it is made sharing simple for my clients. They can share images both socially as well as on their mobile devices. No more emails from family members or friends requesting that one photo from your wedding or event. Family and friends can now download all your wedding images if they like with a click of the mouse. Need another reason to try out PASS as a photographer? No watermarking is necessary the credit goes along with each image that is shared socially. Yep, each image shared is marketing your business. It’s amazing! One last reason why you should try it out…it’s FREE. There really is no reason why you should not try it out! I’ll bet that it will change your workflow, save you time, your clients will love it and it will market your business for you! You really can not go wrong! Check PASS out and see for yourself.

I started using it for weddings last year (though as a test) and I love how brides can share their images with anyone at anytime!

I also now use PASS for interiors!

I upgrade my clients for a year of viewing, 10 years of secure back up, and the ability to download all the images at one time.In PASS I created an event called Laura + Drew.

For my sister there has been several event before here wedding that I have been able to easily add to her PASS gallery.

They are located under the collections.

If you click on a photo it enlarges it and makes it the only image on your screen.

From there the options to share, email, download, create favorites or print! This is PASS, the ability to share simply.

These pictures of Laura and Drew will be coming soon to the blog!

. . .. . .. . .. . .

I had no idea it was so simple to use and could be free! thanks so much for sharing and when I read your post about you discovering that you were pregnant, I cried. It was beautiful, thank you for sharing part of such a personal struggle publicly <3

So I’d been meaning to check this out and I appreciate your thoughts. It sounds great. I’ve not read every detail, but it looks like you basically pay for the service per event? That’s cool, and easy to roll into your pricing. What about prints though? Some of my clients want to purchase prints through me, as opposed to buying the digital negative then purchasing their own prints. Is there a way for them to choose the images and basically submit an order form to me or does PASS not provide that service?

Thanks, I look forward to trying it out free the next session I have!

Lyndon Heath Cabinetry: Oxford Kitchen

Let me start with saying, “I love working with my husband!” This was the our last stop of the day for our photo shoot back in January. We arrived in Oxford Maryland as the sun had set. This residence was tucked back in the woods and is a weekend retreat for the homeowners. It is the perfect setting for them that is away from city life and noise. You look around and there is something about being in the woods that creates a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere where together the homeowners can unwind from the week’s work.

Lyndon Heath Cabinetry had the honor of working with Jay Jenkins, President of Jenkins Baer Associates on this project. Jay is one of the most gracious designers to work with on a project and makes final decisions stress free. Jay designed this full overlay kitchen that has clean lines and is classic. The perimeter cabinets are finished in a beige and the island is painted in a green high gloss finished. From start to finish Lyndon Heath Cabinetry is in communication with the designer on a project, giving updates, and making any changes necessary. With this project Lyndon Heath Cabinetry was determined to meet the tight deadline to ensure that the homeowner would be able to enjoy their retreat come summer. The goal was met and the homeowners have enjoyed their newly designed custom cabinets.  ENJOY!!!

I love all this storage space in these cabinets. The fixtures were beautiful and the perfect touch to tie the room together with the appliances.I love clean counter tops and this cabinet was designed to hide the appliances perfectly. You can notice the deep green color of the island in the pictures above.Laser engraved branding .LOVE it!Pull outs make finding anything stored below easier!

Raspberry Coffee Cake

Yesterday my girlie and I had a day at home together. Getting somethings done, but mainly enjoying our home, playing, reading, and then baking together before dinner. I found this recipe on Pinterest about a week ago. With the post title of The Best Coffee Cake You’ll Ever Have it took little convincing that I wanted to make it. It took three stores later to get the frozen raspberries that I wanted, but worth the effort. The original recipe is found here. Of course I adapted it a little due to the ingredients I had on hand. I used pecans instead of almonds and vanilla instead of almond extract. We ate it as dessert last night and I ate a slice this morning too! ENJOY!!!

Lyndon Heath Cabinetry: Annapolis Master Bathroom

You remember this beautiful kitchen. In the same home Lyndon of Lyndon Heath Cabinetry had the opportunity to design and build the master bathroom custom cabinetry. Warm, peaceful, and light would be words to describe this bathroom. This bathroom was designed with his and her vanities that were then painted on site. The light yellow color creates a warm feeling in this space, perfect way to start the morning. On the front of the tub is a custom panel that is allows access to the tub plumbing. Again, I love working with and photographing my husband’s craftsmanship in his customer’s home. ENJOY!!!

Contax 645

This has been a long process to get my hands on a Contax 645, but it has been worth the effort and the wait. I received it in the mail two days before we left for St. Lucia. I was busy with my sister’s shower and I did not even have time to look at it. I unpacked the box and repacked my Think Tank to accommodate the Contax’s body and lens. I made sure the manual was packed in my carry on for some reading on the plane. Once I arrive in St. Lucia I gave myself a day and half to take in my surroundings and think about how and what I wanted to documented from our trip. As Lyndon went on a scuba dive I headed up all the steps back to our villa and sat on the porch with the manual and the roll of film I wanted to load. I had a weak wifi signal but the connection allowed me to watch a you tube video of how to load the 120 film into the Contax. If you remember the first time I loaded the film into the AE-1 I did it completely wrong and no photographs were taken. I wanted to make sure this time I got it right. I was over cautious and about an hour and half later I closed the back and the film advanced to 1. It was loaded! Here is my first roll of film through the Contax.

I did not use an external light meter for this roll of film. I hope to get one. I did over exposure each image.

I used Fuji Film Pro 400H 120. You get 16 photographs with 120 film.

I used THE FIND LAB for developing and scanning the negatives.

They were awesome to work with, timely and helpful with my newbie questions.

I did not edit any of these images, which makes me happy to spend less time behind the computer.

I also took along the Canon AE-1.

I shot Kodak Professional Portra 160 35mm film. It was a roll of 36.

Here are the images from this camera.

The internal light meter does not work on the camera so I did a combination of estimating settings and using my digital to check.

Again these images are not edited!

Above that is Lyndon walking on the beach!

Beautiful clear pictures…you are quite a talent…thanks for sharing…

I just got my Contax 645 a few months ago. I love it! It really helps you slow down and enjoy the moment rather than ripping off a couple hundred digital images that you’ll just delete down the road. Love the photos!

Gorgeous!!! What a fun thing to finally have working for you!!! Congrats!!! xo

Good job, Jamie! These are beautiful!
