Do you mind sharing the version of the Nutcracker Myla is looking at? I’ve been looking for one with lovely illustrations. We went to the BSO to see a children’s version of the Nutcraker (shorter) and all the kids loved it. Sophia is particularly inthralled with ballerinas and Angelina Ballerina right now!

It was fun looking through your photos. You have had a very busy month, but looks like it was a very fun one, too. Myla couldn’t be a cuter ballerina. 😉 I’m planning to get Bella started in Feb. I’m hoping she’ll enjoy the science and art form of dance and not just the leotards. 😉

I take Chloe every year to the Cobalt nutcracker!! This year I took Bella for the first time!! It is always so beautiful… Those girls amaze me!! The Williams family are good friends and their girls and Danika Bigley are just stunning to watch!! All if them… So great!!! :)

Twelve of Twelve in 2012

 Our year in twelve pictures.

This was something I attempted to start in 2010 and failed. I tried again last year and completed it! You can see those pictures here.

I enjoy looking back at the end of the year thinking of the memories created together.

Join me next year and capture you and your family once a month!

. . .. . .. . .. . .

Congratulations! I have “failed” this year in getting all 12. BUT, not really because we have more family photos than most years! I’m definitely doing this again in 2013!

Happy Merry Christmas!

He rules the world with truth and grace

And makes the nations prove

The glories of His righteousness,

And wonders of His love,

And wonders of His love,

And wonders, wonders, of His love.

Happy Merry Christmas from our family to yours!

Happy Birthday Lyndon!

Today I celebrate my husband! Lyndon is the hardest working man that I know. He has an eye for details and excellence. I love and marvel at his talent to create. He is kind and compassionate. He is full of patience and seeks wisdom. He loves his family and is faithful. These are some of the things that I admire in him and have been proven true over the years together. I am so thankful for his deep friendship and unreserved love in my life. He truly is my better half! Happy Birthday my love!

Amanda Austin Interiors: Christmas in Williamsburg

You need to know that I have waited for a whole year to share these images. With Christmas right around the corner I thought it would be the perfect time to share and be inspired! I worked along side of Amanda of Amanda Austin Interiors to photograph her client’s home in Williamsburg, Virgina. Amanda decorated each room with her touches of beauty and splendor for the holiday season. This is a service thaat Amanda Austin Interiors offers to her clients. I must say as I entered the home it was warm and inviting. Everywhere I turned and looked there was a touch of Christmas. I would step back and take in all the colors in each room and how each one was cordinated with the Christmas decorations that Amanda chose. Amanda has a gift to see color combinations that pull a room together beautifully! I loved photographing each detail in each room she designed. I photographed all day long and then as the sunset the fire was lit and the lights sparkled. It was truly magically! Enjoy!!!

I started photographing in the dining roomThe foyer with touches of gold! The music room…bold pattern and a pop of color!

The sunroom…peaceful and light!

And then there was the family room…stocking hung, tree decorated, and lights twinkled!Loved the color cobinations!!I loved how photographs were included in the holiday decorating.Check out this amazing candelier!!!and then the sun set…
